“Out of ConFusion” by ConFused 5 (Blues artist from Austria)

"Out of ConFusion" is a timeless, guitar-driven blues-rock album with clear '70s rock influence from Austrian quintet ConFused 5. One thing is for certain: there is no confusion in ConFused 5's musical capabilities. First formed in 1981 under the name Frust, the members of ConFused 5 have made their rounds in the musical world and deliver as professionals would on each track of this album. The '70s influenced arrangements are accompanied by great vocal performances and outstanding harmonic group vocals on many of the choruses, resulting in an overall sound reminiscent of Deep Purple. The songs are enjoyably distortion heavy, with catchy choruses and a great timeless quality. "Out of ConFusion" is also well-produced and meant to be played loudly. "Because of You" is a bluesy number with great guitar solos and the catchy chorus, "All the things we do/We do because of you." "Why Me" incorporates the saxophone and organ into the melodic arrangement. It also features great storytelling lyrics about the redundancy of life and the lyricists incredulousness towards it. "No One" is a reggae rock track reminiscent of The Clash and The Police with more great group vocals. Ironically, ConFused 5 appears to be certain in their talent and musical abilities and deliver on each and every track of "Out of ConFusion." Fans of blues-rock, with a '70s influence, you're going to want to check this one out.
